Henry says WOOF
God i made a mess of this last night wont drink beer on an empty stomach in future.
I have my lovely doggy home now. The vet has stabelised him and he was given loads and loads of shots and sedation and oxygen…..total cost if i werent so poor approx £215. AS i said thanks to the pdsa and the mysterious police dog handler guy in ladywell fields.
As to what caused Henry to become so ill so quickly we dont exactly know…..the heat is probably the main cause so big slap on my wrist for taking him out…..but it looks as though the heat may have led us to find another problem so we will be in and out of vets for the week while having more tests.
The vets said he was lucky as it could have proven fatal. He is still not himself and has a shaven patch on his arm and its a struggle to keep him cool so he doesnt end up back in the emergency vets.

The kids spots are coming out big stylee and they are really quite ill dealing with the heat itching and general feeling ill …..which is great as i have the education welfare coming to visit tomorrow.
Thanks again for all your comments. Should point out henry didnt really say woof as he doesnt bark apart from little yaps when he is dreaming.
update:- While trying to get to the vets yesderday i was cursing the traffic then in Lee the road by the station was closed which made me curse even more…..i know now that the road closure was down to a boy of 16 being robbed of his life by yet another vicious thug. I can only send my thoughts to his family.

i always thought it was cute that dogs yelp a little whilst dreaming, i wonder what they dream off, dreaming is only a short step away from rationality and i thought only humans were meant to have that, if dogs ever manage to get a sense of pride we’re truly done for

Max its such a shame that a hard working good kid had to diefor one that maybe has not had such a good upbring. I was annoyed with myself because i was complaining about the road being closed and then i found out why and felt awful.
Cherie not looking foward to vets going tobe difficult two ill kids and an ill dog being dragged about. ;-(

Am glad pooch is better and its not pleasant when the kids all get chicken pox, aww mine had it at same time, and I have never had them yet. Smile , I trust things will improve for you all
I hope so, little girl just over it and back to scool then two boys come down with it so yet more time off school. I had it when i was a kid along with whooping cough wasnt nice but got it out of the way.
