PEOPLE are being asked for their views on a proposed major development including 800 homes, shops and a leisure centre.
Consultations on the plans for the regeneration of Loampit Vale have been launched by Barratt Homes in partnership with Lewisham Council.
A cultural centre, a new park and a leisure centre including an eight-lane swimming pool, a gym, a cafe, a creche and a health spa are part of the proposals.
An exhibition of the plans will be held at Lewisham Bridge Primary School, in Elmira Street, from May 15 to May 17.
Barratt Homes managing director Alastair Baird said: “We want to work with residents and the council to make sure the Loampit Vale proposals which go forward make a valuable contribution to the life of the area.”
Barratt will submit a planning application for the site in the summer.
Visit loampitvale.co.uk to find out more and make any comments.

Just been blog surfing and via mybloglog came to this blogwhich has some posts titled “faces id like to slap” and found it hilarious although i could agreewith one I’m not so sure about the other oneas Boris isn’t the finest looking creature on the planet and I’m not so sure if a slap would be a help or hindrance.

Various other blogs have been linking to this so i popped over to see what was going on and am shocked at what i read. Mental illness is still an illness and needs careful treatment and handling for people to get through such things. So go have a look and support the carrs.

…..Please i seriously need advice on this. My ex actually managed to turn up for my son over two ours late and drunk, this is of course better than last fortnight when he didnt make it at all despite texting saying he was on his way. I was extremely angry and called him a drunken c**t , i said i was angry. I also said that my son was the child and shouldnt be baby sitting his drunk father. As this has always been the case how am i suposed to handle it? Obviously the language was bad and shouldnt be repeated, until now i have kept a dignified silence but im at the end of my tether with it. Why should my son have to deal with that kind of treatment?
